About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Let's hit the BEACH!!!!!!!!

Good morning to everyone out in blog land! Today starts a new linky party over at Craftin' Desert Divas. I don't know if you have checked out their recent digi stamps but they are BEYOND ADORABLE!!!! I fell in love with this little "hippo" while I was browsing their new digis and I knew it would be the main image for this challenge. Funny thing is, I found out while I was looking for the link to the digi that it isn't a hippo, it's a darn bear!!! Only me!

Anyway, the theme for this 2-week linky party is a "BEACH" theme.  This super cute stamp is called LITTLE BEAR BEACH DAY.  I made her pretty big and had so much fun coloring her up with my Copics. It was really hard to get a good picture of it due to the acetate on the front.

I added some Glossy Accents to make certain elements stand out. I turned it into a shaker card with some

The banner dies are from FLAG BANNER DIES and the THANKS die is from GREETING WORD DIES

I finished it off with the sentiment "for everything" which is from TINY SENTIMENTS.

I printed one out even bigger for my twins to color while I colored mine.  Not only did we get to spend some time together we were able to do that while doing something I wanted to do!! Finally a happy medium :)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you play along with our "BEACH" linky party theme over at CDD.

We also offer SVG stamp outlines for .99 they work perfectly with your cutting machine. You must have a program that opens these files. This is a great alternative to coordinating dies and much less expensive.

Here's what I've created for you...

I  used the sweet little treats from the SWEET SEASON stamp set and stamped them randomly around the page, using my Copics to color in the images.  Next I matted it with some acetate and topped that off with some layers made with CDD Dies.  For the fluffy scallop like borders I used STITCHED SCALLOP dies and on the bottom I used the hill like die from the OUTDOOR LANDSCAPE set.  I is hard to see in the first photo but you can tell on the close up photo below.

The MERRY CHRISTMAS sentiment came from the Tis' The Season (did I tell you that I LOVE, LOVE that stamp set!) and snuck in a little piece of candy next to the Gingerbread from Fright Night.

Thanks for being there..........

Good morning fellow crafters! I am here today to share with you a card that I made with an adorable image I came across in the CDD digital stamps section.

This super cute digi stamp is called Bunny Heart Balloon.  I sized it to a nice big size so it would fit perfectly on a normal A2 card. How cute is this image????????

I didn't add anything else to it because I loved how the image just stole the show.  I did use the word "thanks" from the Farmer's Market stamp set, and the "for being there" is from the newly released Tiny Sentiments stamp set.

A perfect way to show someone you appreciate them!

Thank you for stopping by today and spending a couple minutes with me.

HAPPY CRAFTING!

Coffee lover birthday card

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Hello out there!!!!!! It has been a long time since I have been on here.  Lots going on behind the curtain, unfortunately not all good, however today is a new day!! I did manage to get some crafting in which is making it all better!

Today starts a new Linky Party over at Craftin' Desert Divas.  The theme is COFFEE.  I fell in love with these adorable COFFEE COUPLE digi stamp.  I opened it up in my Silhouette program, cut the cups apart, duplicated the girl coffee cup and then flipped her vertically.  I stacked them so the boy would be in front.  I just love how these digis give you so many possibilities to create.  There is a sale going on a Craftin' Desert Divas until 7/5 which you get 15% off. You need to check out some of their new digis and stock up at those prices. Super, super, super duper cute!!

I used the PICTURE FRAME die to make my card base, only to find out when I took it out of the Cuttlebug that it didn't cut all the way thru due to me using really thick cardstock which was doubled up.  I ended up liking the way it looked so I matted the inside then attached that to a solid piece of black cardstock. I popped up the coffee cups with some foam tape to give it some depth.  The sentiment and the coffee stain came from the GOT COFFEE stamp set.

I hope you come on over and play along with the CDD Coffee themed linky party.

Have a great day, Happy Crafting!
