About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Let's go Wild!

Good morning y'all!

I am here today to share with you a box card I created using some of my CDD stamps.  I got this paper from their new Craft Supplies section, it is called Hip, Hip, Hooray by Doodlebug.  I just ADORE this color combination.

I sized the circle and offset it to fit the monkey from the It's All About Zoo stamp set. I used the TAG IT stamp set for the label that I put the sentiment on.  I found a style of the number 5 that I liked and welded it onto the pieces that make up the middle. The base of the box is one of the plain boxed cards that came with the Box Card SVG Kit from SVG CUTS. I welded the elements into it and altered the box to fit my needs.

To add some bling to it, I used the matching DoodleBug Birthday Boy Sprinkles. Next I took the STAR from the Banner dies set and glued them in various places. The White Sakura Gel pen always is something I tend to use to add a bit of dimension to my projects. For coloring the images I used my Spectrum Noir & Wink of Stella markers.  You can't really see it in the pictures but the leaves and balloons are glittery.

This is a picture of it laying flat. Don't you just love that color combo?? It is fabulous!

Have a great day and Happy Crafting!

Pink & Lavender challenge at the Sisterhood

Good morning everyone!

My fellow Sister/DT Member Diane is hosting a new and fun challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters.  The challenge is a photo inspired challenge using the colors Pink & Lavender.

I made my project based on this photo which is the one she picked for the challenge.

My card I created for the challenge.

I broke out some new and old things for this card.  I have had the tulip and jar stamps for many years.  They are from PaperTrey Ink.  To color the images I used my Spectrum  Noir markers and Wink of Stella markers.  To add a glass kinda look to the jar I used some Glossy Accents. The papers I used are a mix of Graphic 45 and Echo Park.

For the corners I used my Momenta dies and then embossed them.  The sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Divas Sending Love stamp set.  It is stamped on some of my Spellbinder dies (forgot the proper name).

The stamps on the inside are also from Craftin' Desert Divas  BRING ON THE CAKE stamp set.

With all the layers on this card it is one heavy and thick card.  I made it for my Mom's birthday.  It feels nice to make things for family members and actually get it to them! lol

Hope you come on over and play with us at the Sisterhood!

Have a great day!

Summer Lovin'

Good morning y'all!  Today starts a new linky party over at Craftin' Desert Divas.  The theme is "SUMMER".  My girls are graduating Kindergarten in a week.  Since I am Room Mom I am in charge of the End of the Year party.  The theme is a Beach/Summer kinda theme.  I am making them these pails and plan on personalizing them.  But I wanted to share with you the items I made with CDD products for the new Linky party!

Here is a picture of the pail and all of it's contents.  I plan on making cookies to add to it as well but that can't be done until the day before.

I tied a pair of sunglasses to the giant bubble wands I got.  I used Tag Essential dies and the Banner dies in order to make the tag.  The sentiment is from Gotta Wear Shades.

Next I used the large and small banner dies to make the base of the bag topper.  The Sky is the Limit stamp set and die combo was also used for the clouds and the sun.  The face on the sun is from Bitty Blessing stamp set. I also added some fish from the Fur-Ever friends stamp set.

I sure hope the kiddos enjoy all the goodies in the pail!

Have a great day!

Here's what I've created for you today...

I saw awhile ago on YouTube an idea for a magic card.  I thought it would go perfect with the sentiment I used from the Calling All Superheroes stamp set. But I wanted to come up with a different way using the CDD Banner dies to pull it off. After several prototypes I finally did it!  I heat embossed the image on the acetate paper which you can find HERE.  I lined it up by making a template first on vellum so the stamped image underneath would line up.  I used the oval die to cut out the center.  The picture above is how it will look when the person opens it. It looks plain, but then..........

they pull up the tab and WALAAH! A cute little colored Superhero image!  I used the flag stamp from the Tag It stamp set.  The tag pull on top is the square die from the new Tag Essentials die set. The larger of the banner dies is the gray paper, the smaller one is the yellow paper.  The itty bitty bats are a small punch I bought around Halloween time.

Check out the pretty sequins that has been added to the shop....

Day #4 CDD Sneak Peeks Enchanted Wishes

Today is Day 4 of the sneak peeks for the May stamp release at Craftin Desert Divas. We have 5 new stamp sets and 2 die sets.

Today we are showcasing ENCHANTED WISHES.

Here's what I've created for you...

I created this card based off a card I saw on Youtube.  The original one I saw you could find HERE. But I used the Banner Die to make the front flap part (yellow).  Next I used the new Tag die for the front cut that Olaf is on.  What I did was ran it halfway thru my Cuttlebug and removed it.  I flipped the die around, lined it up and ran it halfway thru again.  The end result was a tag that had mirrored ends with the same design. I shaded him in with my SPectrum Noir markers as well as accented him with my Wink of Stella markers.  I used the newly added Birthday Girl Doodlebug Sprinkles to embellish the front.

This is how it looks when it is opened up. I put some post it note paper on the bottom and right side of the corner so I could stamp the snowman to make him look like he was popping out of the corner.  The Birthday Hugs sentiment came from the CDD Bring on the Cake stamp set.  I think it is a perfect sentiment to go with Olaf since he is always giving "hugs"! lol
