About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Today I have created for you this cute little card that I created by using the Tag It SVG and welding it together to form the base.  First I did an offset of the original svg.  Then I welded those two images together to make the card.  Then I took the Tag stamp for the front, and kept the original tag svg as a inside layer to write on.  I used the Valentine stamp from the Celebrations Wordart set that could be found HERE.

On the inside I stamped the January Freebie stamp that will be available with purchase.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color it in.

From the Bottom of my heart

This was too cute not to share!! Today there is a sneak peek of the new release over at Craftin' Desert Divas for their January release.  My project was an unscheduled addition but these mice were too darn adorable not to share.  I couldn't wait! Plus I wanted to tell you all about the free file you can get.

First, the adorable Mouse is from  Marjorie Ann Designs (designed by Kristi W.) Baking Up Some Love set.   I used the clipart from the set since I may make a bunch of these to hand out.  Besides I just adore it as is.  I did have to shade in the hat a bit since when it printed the hat kinda blended in.  I used a file from the Silhouette store for the goodie bag topper.  The sentiments on the cookie (LOVE) as well as to the right, "From the bottom of my Heart" are sneak peeks from the new stamp set "Sending Love" that will be released this weekend. I thought it would be cute to add the LOVE stamp to the cookie.  I colored in the heart with my Wink of Stella red glitter marker.  You can't tell from the photo but the sentiment to the right I stamped in black except for the word "Heart".  I stamped that in red then went over it with the marker.  It looks black in the picture but it is red with a glitter to it. I think these would make perfect little gifts for Valentine's Day, or even as a little Thank you gift.

If you haven't already, make sure you jump on over to the CDD blog.  Each day there is a free SVG to go with the sneak peeks.  All you need to do is leave a comment on the designers blog.  All info is found on the CDD site.

How cute are these Mice??? OMG they are screaming for a layout.  I just think they are so cute.  Actually right now they are on sale at Marjorie Ann Designs website! You can purchase this set HERE.

This is the free file available today when you hop along for the new release.  You can find all the details HERE.

Snowflakes are kisses from Heaven

Good morning everyone!  Today a new challenge starts at the Sisterhood of Crafters!  Our Sister Diane is hosting the challenge and has come up with a very fitting theme for this time of year!

Snowflakes!

She is asking that everyone makes a project with a snowflake somewhere on it.

I had recently purchased some new embossing folders at my local craft store by Darice.  There was this gorgeous snowflake one that I picked up and couldn't' wait to play with so I choose that.  When I think of snowflakes the first thing that pops into my mind is the color (in various shades) blue.  In my paper stash I have had this pad by DCWV forever that fit perfectly.  I embossed the card stock then inked it up.  Next I cut out a sentiment from one of the sheets of paper and matted that, added some rhinestones and ribbon and I was done!

I hope you come on by and play along in the snow with us at the Sisterhood!

HAPPY CRAFTING!

Today we are showcasing the CELEBRATIONS WORDART Stamp set. Omg, wait to you see this set.  When I tell you it is a must have you will agree when you see it in it's entirety.

Here is my project I created.

Close up of the Family WordArt stamp.

I created a super fun way to showcase those family photos.  I used the family word art stamp that is one of the stamps included in the set on the left side in one of the smaller frames.  I found this Family frame in the silhouette store, and just resized it to what fit my needs.  In my stash I had these gorgeous October Afternoon papers that I thought would look pretty.  I wanted there to be an array of different patterns.  Everything is popped up with extra thick dimensional dots and coated with Glossy accents.  I left some empty space for journaling, or areas to tuck tags behind the photos.  This would look so pretty framed or in a scrapbook.

Here's today's free pattern:

3D Linky Party over at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello everyone! It's time for a new Linky Party over at Craftin' Desert Divas.  The challenge this time is to make a 3D project.  I make these mini handheld pies and people love them.  I thought I would come up with a cute way to give them as little gifts.  I used the Treat Box from SVG Cuts Santas Sweets.  It was a PERFECT size for them!

I made a label using the SVG from the CDD Tag It stamp set and the sentiment "Lovin from the Oven" from Baked with love.  I took the SVG from the oven mit (which is also included on the Baked with Love stamp set) and welded a circle onto the oven mit so I can turn the SVG into a tag after I stamped it.

This went together so quickly and I think came out super cute.

Hope to see you playing along with our 3D challenge at Craftin' Desert Divas!

Happy Crafting!

Aged to Perfection

Good morning everyone!  Today is my turn to share a project I made on the Craftin' Desert Divas blog.

I wanted to make this for the longest time.  The first time I saw this sentiment the first thing that popped into my head was wine! lol So I made this wine shaped gift box and the Aged to Perfection sentiment from Bring on the Cake which you can find HERE. The Wine bottle gift box is from Perfect Picnic which I got from SVG Attic. I tried to find it on the website to give you the direct link but for some reason I couldn't locate it.

I used two different colored Stickles to make the grapes above the sentiment on the label.  To add some shading I used my Spectrum Noir markers.

You can add anything really to the inside of this gift box, but a little bottle of wine would fit perfectly.

Here is a close-up of the sentiment.

Here is a picture of the complete stamp set.  Isn't it a wonderful set for birthday cards?? And truthfully there are several different occasions you could use this set for.  Just a super fun set to have.

Have a wonderful day! Happy Crafting!

First post for the Sisterhood in 2015!!

Hey everyone!! Today is the first post of the year for The Sisterhood of Crafters.  The challenge is to make a project with the theme of "Anything Goes"...but wait, there is a twist!! You need to use something new on your project.  For my project I made a gift for someone who loves giraffes.  It is an altered composition notebook that I made into a journal of sorts for her.  There is a matching bookmark as well.

I used paper that I just bought, as well as embellishments and a SVG set that I just picked up from Too Cute by Jessica called Safari Boy 3 and Safari Boy 2.  Now these themselves are not new files, actually they are going to be discontinued soon so they are only $1 a piece!! I thought I would snag them before they were gone!!  The sentiment I used came from Craftin' Desert Divas SAY IT BIG stamp set.

I hope you all have a blessed day! Happy Crafting!

Castle fit for a queen!

Hey y'all! I wanted to share a diaper cake that I made for my husbands boss who just had a baby girl recently.  I am finally able to share the pictures.  I used the diaper cake from SVG Cut's Tiny Miracle to make the castle. It was hard to decorate it at first not knowing what the theme or the colors in the room where.

But then I saw the KNIGHT OF MY DREAMS file at Too Cute By Jessica and a lightbulb went off.  We had a castle right??? So I thought what better way to decorate it??? I added her name to finish it off and changed the file a bit to fit my needs.  The diapers I used were size 3 I believe so she would be able to display it for sometime.  I got a wonderful Thank you card from them saying how much they loved it and didn't want to take it apart!! Made my day!!

New!! Blue & White Linky Party@ CDD

Hey everyone!  The first linky party in 2015 has started at Craftin Desert Divas.  The theme is Blue & White.  First thing I thought of was a baby boy for some reason.

I have been wanting to do this pop up card that I got from Silhouette for some time.  I added a 3D Rattle as a shaker embellishment and filled it with some little buttons and gem.  I used my SAY IT BIG stamp set for the "Congrats" sentiment and my Snips & Snails stamp set for the It's a Boy sentiment as well as the ones on the inside of the card.  The little stars on the inside block are from the Halloween WITCH CROSSING stamp set.

Once Upon A Time Album

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  I wish all of you the best of the best in 2015.  My goal is to get more organized in my craft room so I can be more productive.

I wanted to share with you a shaped album I created for that special little princess in your life.  I think this would make an awesome gift as well, something different!

I created the album using my Silhouette Cameo, and bound it with MY CINCH machine.  I didn't want to put hole directly thru the pages so I made an extender piece.  Each page is very sturdy since it is made up of several layers. I have had the LUXURY paper pad forever and thought it would be perfect to use.

Here is the front view of the album. All of the stamps are from Craftin' Desert Divas. The stickers are from We R Memory keepers that I have had forever and a day. I used the "Princess" sentiment from Sugar & Spice stamp set on the front page of the album.

Close up of the sentiment.

Here I used TAG IT stamps and SVG's to make some journaling spots and even a place for more pictures.

Another page with journaling/photo tags using my TAG IT stamp set & SVG's.

For this page I used TAG IT stamps and SVG's to put my sentiment on.  Then I used CAPTURE THE GOOD TIMES for the sentiment and the little camera.

I made a tag using the TAG IT set, then cut it in half to tuck behind the photo mat.  100% Diva is from Sugar & Spice.

Some more journaling/photo spots using TAG IT.

I kept the back cover simple since it would be most likely laying flat when not being viewed.  The "LOVE YOU MORE" sentiment came from the Simply Said stamp set.

That's all for now!  I hope you enjoyed my album that I have created.
Happy Crafting!
