About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Happy New Years gift

Hello everyone! Are you invited to a New Years party?  Do you need a quick gift idea? Well this literally took minutes and you could even simplify it even more if you wanted to by not coloring any of the images. I used the CDD Simply Holidays Word Art stamp set and it's matching SVG to make this tag. I used some Spectrum Noir markers as well as some Stickles to accent some of the images.  But again, this stamp is beautiful stamped without being colored.

If you are going to a New Years party this would make a great hostess gift.  I simply tied the tag to a bottle of wine.

I LOVE this stamp set.  This word art is so pretty just by itself.  And you can mask off the sentiments and only use one, two or however many you want.  So you literally are getting a huge variety of sentiments that you could use as a whole or by themselves.

Have a wonderful day and HAPPY CRAFTING!

Just for you!

Hey everyone, Lisa B. here! I hope you are all recovering from the holiday rush.

I was asked to come up with a gift voucher and this is what I came up with.
The sailboat on my voucher came from SVG Cut's Seaside SVG cut file.  I changed the waves and sailboat to fit my needs (size of card).  I wanted this voucher to be able to fit inside a clear legal sized envelope.  The voucher part is perforated so they can tear it off to redeem it if they wanted to.

I used Craftin' Desert Divas Simply Said stamp set on the tag.  That set is an awesome addition to any stamp collection.  It covers so many bases.  The "Just for You" stamp added the finishing touch to my gift voucher.

Below is a close-up of the sentiment I used.  I masked part of the sentiment off so I could have it fit on the tag the way I wanted it to.

I hope you all got some awesome crafting goodies for the Holidays.  I can't wait to see what you make with them and share it here with us on our Linky Party as well as our CDD Facebook page.

This is another one I made up for a Theater themed gift.  I fussy cut some images from Graphic 45 paper to embellish this one.  The voucher is tucked behind the curtain call ticket.  I did not fully glue down the ticket so the voucher can be tucked behind it and torn off to be redeemed.  I used SU dimensionals on the ticket and the dancing lady.

A gift for the "grinch" in your life.

Hey everyone!  I came up with this gift for someone who is on Santa's Naughty list....lol

I made the chimney gift box from SVG Cut's December Gifts SVG set with papers from Graphic 45. To fill the chimney I made some homemade "coal" my crushing oreos in my food processor and then adding melted marshmallows (similar to how you would make marshmallow treats).  And to top it all off I made an adorable "Grinch" tag by using Grumpy Christmas and Naughty or Nice files from Too Cute by Jessica.

Happy Crafting!!
Merry Christmas!

Mini Album key rings

Hey everyone! Today I am happy to share with you some projects I made using my CDD stamps. These days your Shopping list grows longer and your wallet grows smaller! So I came up with a super cute and fun gift to give someone using paper and some CDD stamps!

First I opened my TAG IT svg's and did an offset with the file (so I could have a backing).  For each tag I cut out two pieces of cardstock and glued them back to back.  Then I adhered designer paper on each side in order to make it double sided.  You can make this album as big or as small as you want or need.  I picked the larger stamp out of the Tag It stamp set for the front cover on each of the albums.  Then I picked out two sentiments from Capture These Moments that worked perfectly (I offset them as well to get the layers of matting).

I left one of the albums with no ribbon to show some variation to what you could do.  Since I used so many layers for each page of the album they are VERY sturdy!!

The fun part about this is you can totally personalize these with so many different colors and themes.  It's a small gift with a lot of meaning!

Hope you all have a great day, and HAPPY CRAFTING!!

Hugs,
Lisa B.

Tis' the season for Holiday gift boxes!

Many people who don't normally bake year round even bake at the holidays.  I am a baker myself and enjoy combining my two passions, Baking and crafting!

I made this set of milk carton (gift boxes which I purchased from the Silhouette store) and used Too Cute By Jessica's Cute Cocoa Cups to decorate the front as well as stamps from Craftin' Desert Divas.  I used two stamps from the newly released Baked with Love stamp set.  I colored the rolling pin in with my markers and popped it up with some pop dots, then added the sentiment which is from the same set as well.  These boxes were super easy and quick to put together!

Name that Tune!

Hey everyone!  My life has been super, super crazy to say the least.  I thought I had this post all set and scheduled way ahead of time but somehow it has disappeared.  Probably totally my fault, but then again blogger hates me!!

There is a new challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters.  It is super fun! We are asking to make any project based around a Christmas/Holiday song.  When you create it, please note which song you based your card around.

I loved these gorgeous cards from SVG CUTS! This card is from the Christmas Box card set.  I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!  This card is a very nice and large size, works as a home decor piece as well. The paper are from Graphic 45.

I based this card around the song "We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!".  This will be our last challenge for this year to give the DT time off to enjoy the holiday with their loved ones.  We also know that this is a very busy time for everyone who usually plays along.  So you will have until December 28th to play along.

I would like to wish all of our Sisterhood followers a very HAPPY, HEALTHY and SAFE 2015!

Happy Crafting!

Craftin' Desert Divas - Christmas Linky Party

Good morning! I am here to share with you two projects I made for the Craftin' Desert Divas Linky Party that is currently going on.

I made these treat bags that hold dark chocolate Hershey Kisses. There was going to be a window of sorts so you could see some of the contents but I didn't like how that looked (they are dark purple).  I used the Winter Treats stamp set along with the Tag It stamp set. And of course I used the free SVG's you get when you buy the stamp sets. You can find Winter Treats  HERE and Tag It HERE.
