About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

A new Sisterhood Challenge and new CDD stamp release sneak peeks!

Hey y'all! It's time for another new challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters and a new stamp release over at Craftin' Desert Divas!!

The new challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters has a "FALL COLORS" theme.  I always wanted to try a starburst card and I finally did!! Here is my very first Starburst card using some scraps from all my Fall projects I have been doing.  The paper I used is by Authentique.  I broke out my embossing heat gun this week!! Haven't played with that in awhile and I actually got to use it on a few projects I will sharing with you shortly. I hope you play along with us and show us what you create with our Fall Color theme!

Today I am also showing some sneak peeks of the new stamp set from Craftin' Desert Divas called "Let's get Stuffed". I love this one!! The minute I saw this stamp set I saw soo many possibilities!  I made like 6 projects from just this stamp set so far and I'm still going!!

I wanted to make a bunch of tags that could be used to dress up some baked goods or a small gift. I made three different styled tags, all with the same main image which I love.....the corn. It is just one of the many cute stamps on this set. I wanted to keep it clean and simple. I think I made about 30 total. Some simple and elegant and some bright and colorful. I love to color but I wanted to show some projects in a different ways for the times when you can't color or you just don't have the supplies

The THANK YOU sentiment I used is from the SAY IT BIG stamp set.

The Happy Fall is also from the new set. The color looks really bright yellow but in person it is more of a mustard color.

On this last one I decided to color the corn with my markers and then topped it off with some Glossy Accents. The SO GRATEFUL sentiment is from Simply Said. Super fun and easy as well as elegant. You can really have some fun with this stamp set. I can't wait to show you the rest of my projects I made using this set. Did I mention I LOVE FALL??? Lol

If you want to see the rest of the DT's projects you can go to the CDD blog by clicking here. Each day a new stamp set will be showcased, and then the full reveal and blog hop this weekend. Don't forget to pop back on in for some more crafty fun!

Okay folks that's all for today.  I hope you all have a wonderful day full of blessings and love...and of course some crafting time!

Halloween Goodies

Hello everyone!  Lisa. B here with some projects to share with you.  I had so much fun making these that I just kept going!

The stamp set I used was Ghostly Greetings which you can find HERE in the Craftin' Desert Divas store.  I made several different treat holders and goodie bags all with the same stamp set and I could of kept on going. I used the boxes from SVG Attic's Ghoulish Goodie Bags and Boxes.  The headstone and gate are from their Happy Haunt Halloween Party Kit.

Here is a group photo of the Ghost, Pumpkin and Dracula treat holders.

For this one I cleaned off the ink from the word Coffin and stamped it in a different color.  The SVG's really came in handy.

Kept these two simple, but I love how they stands out.

Say it Big - Gift ideas on a budget

Hello everyone, Lisa B. here today to share with you some great gift ideas using the Craftin' Desert Divas SAY IT BIG stamp set.

Since it is coming upon the Season of Thanks and Christmas I like to have some small gifts to give to people to let them know that I really do appreciate all that they do.  I made myself a template on my SSDE software to cut paper to the size I needed for my clothespins.  I then had some sheets of magnets which I cut up and adhered to the back.  This is a great way to use up scraps! I made a bunch of these in various patterns using the JUST BECAUSE sentiment as well as the Thank you sentiment.

I am only showing one here as not to overload you!

Then I made a folio of sorts that holds 16 Thank you cards and envelopes.  I thought these would make cute gifts to give the the school personnel so they have Thank you cards on hand.  For the tag I simply stamped the sentiment several times and cut the paper to size.  Then I used my ticket corner punch for the corners.

This is one of my favorite "Go-To" stamp sets that comes in handy every time! Thanks for stopping by, Happy Crafting!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Think Pink Challenge

Hello everyone.  I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Fall weather.  As most know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  In honor of that we are hosting a THINK PINK challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters.

I found this Breast Cancer Awareness shadow box in the Silhouette Store.  I used my CDD BE INSPIRED stamp set for the sentiments on the ribbon and up in the top right corner.  I think this would make pretty little gifts to show your love and support for someone fighting that horrible disease.

I sure hope you come on over and join the crafty fun, and remember THINK PINK!

Craftin Desert Divas Anything But a card Linky Party

Hello everyone!  There is another Linky Party going over at Craftin' Desert Divas with lots of prizes and goodies. I hope you create something fun and play along.

I made this adorable Witch box that I found at the Silhouette store and used the newly released Witch Crossing, you can find that HERE.  I randomly stamped the stars (also in set) everywhere then added the sentiment. I used a PKS face from the  PKS-1385 Cartoon Bombshell Assortment stamp set.  Added some Glossy accents to her eyes and some stickles to her hat and she was done! Awesome way to send a little treat to someone.

Don't forget to come and check out the newest linky party which ends this week over at Craftin' Desert Divas!
